Dekubilax lambskin: medical sheepskin to help against bedsores
Medical lambskin can help prevent pressure on sensitive body parts and offers an especially high level of hygiene. These lambskins made of 100% Merino lambskin are machine washable at 60°C.
Our new Dekubilax sheepskins offer an innovative solution in the prevention of bedsores. Lambskin bed pads offer effective protection against pressure sores and skin irritation for patients who are bedridden for a long time. Lambskin distributes pressure evenly, regulates temperature and humidity, keeps skin dry and prevents skin damage.
Hygienic lambskin for bedsores: machine washable at 60°C!
Easy-to-clean, our medical lambskin is also especially hygienic. Dekubilax sheepskins are tanned so that they can be machine washed at 60°C.
Medical lambskin supplements professional care
Lambskin can certainly help, but it does not substitute professional medical advice. Please note: lambskin only plays a supporting role in the prevention of bedsores and pressure ulcers. For comprehensive care and medical treatment, always consult with your doctor.

Lambskin’s many wonderful properties
Lambskin is excellent at regulating temperature, making it pleasantly warm in winter and cool in summer. Lambskin also regulates moisture and is breathable, keeping your skin dry and preventing overheating. Thanks to its natural temperature regulating properties, lambskin adapts to body temperature to offer the utmost comfort in every situation.
Do not wash too often! Lambskin is self-cleaning, dirt-repellent and easy to care for.
General care
- Use a lambskin brush for regular grooming.
- Brush and fluff regularly for a soft, fluffy sheepskin.
- For light stains: Brush the sheepskin thoroughly (moisten the area slightly beforehand).
- Regular ventilate - ideally in misty weather or snow for several hours. The lambskin may get damp, but the leather must not get wet!
Wash in the washing machine at 60 °C
- As rarely as possible!
- Dekubilax lambskins stand out from other lambskins due to their washability at 60 °C. We recommend washing them by hand or in the wool/hand wash program of the washing machine at max. 60 °C and 600 rotations.
- Only use special lambskin shampoo.
Drying:
- Spread the lambskin-product out flat in an airy place (e.g. drying rack on the balcony).
- Brush through the still damp lambskin, knead it and pull it into shape.
- Avoid direct sunlight or artificial heat sources (e.g. heating).
- Do not dry in tumble dryer!
